Hey, I’m Charity Citron!

I’m a Durham Region photographer specializing in wedding, family, and branding photography, with a love for capturing real moments that feel natural, emotive, and true to you.

I’m a mama to two amazing boys and have been behind the camera professionally since my teenage years, following in my father’s footsteps and formal photography training. My approach is relaxed, thoughtful, and people-first. I believe the best images come from connection, comfort, and a little room to be yourself. Whether I’m photographing a wedding day, a growing family, or a brand story, my goal is always the same. To create images that feel honest, meaningful, and timeless. Coffee is usually involved somewhere along the way, preferably brewed at home or picked up from a favourite local spot.

"I cherish these photos"

Until I met Charity, I would take my children to a portrait studio, and end up with stoic pictures which didn’t even resemble my kids. Inevitably during the shoot, I would be sweaty and frustrated! Then…..I was fortunate enough to find Charity through a mutual friend before Christmas last year. When she photographed my 3 children (ages 6, 3, and 1, not an easy task!) There was no blood sweat or tears. Her immediate rapport with the kids put all of us at ease, and they felt comfortable to move around and be themselves. The result was hundreds of photos which capture my kids very individual personalities better than any pictures I have ever seen of them. I cherish these photos, and others she has taken since. Charity’s personable and easy going nature make her such a pleasure to work with. Now I look forward to photo shoots, instead of dread them!
